Her photo direction at SKI has earned recognition by American Photography and the Society of Publication Designers. Bascetta's studio, travel, and portrait photography has been published in SKI, Skiing, Elevation Outdoors and Freeskier.


photo of Justin AppenzellerA former newspaper photojournalist, Justin Appenzeller is now an award-winning photo editor at Outdoor Life. In addition to working with some of the best wildlife, nature and editorial photographers in the business, he continues to work on his personal photography, along with the occasional travel or editorial assignment. Originally from North Carolina, Appenzeller has a deep appreciation for the natural world.


photo of Genny FullertonGenny Fullerton lives near Boulder, Colorado, with her husband and daughter. She majored in graphic design at Seton Hall University, studied abroad at the Tasmanian School of Art in Australia, interned at Parenting and found her dream job in the photo department at Backpacker. For close to ten years, Fullerton has sought out as many photos of campsites, trails, hikers and mountains as she can.


photo of John ToolanJohn Toolan is the photo director at Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. Over the course of his 17-year career, he has worked at a variety of publications, including ESPN The Magazine, Men's Health and Condé Nast Portfolio. He is an avid fisherman and scuba diver.


photo of Kenji HaroutunianKenji Haroutunian is a 25-year veteran of the active outdoor industry. He holds a degree in geography from UCLA, began working for the Outdoor Retailer show in 1999 and was recently appointed vice president at Nielsen Expositions. A 2010 Access Fund Sharp End awardee, Haroutunian serves on several national boards and is currently serving as president of the Friends of Joshua Tree board.

He also helps manage the magazine's photo contest and expanded online presence. A self-taught photographer, Nuhn is a founder of the North American Nature Photography Association and a charter affiliate member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP).
