We included a "show more images" option for some photos. This allows viewers to look further into a shoot, giving them more control over the content they're viewing. There's also a "save to lightbox" option and a "download watermarked image" option.

This Web site was created to house a variety of commissioned and personal photographic projects. Its intent is to offer the viewer an opportunity to explore a large cross-section of work, both in curated galleries as well as through keyword text searches. The site also contains portals to my other sites and a blog that exposes my personality, taste and point of view.

LightBox, a new blog by TIME's photo department, explores how photography and video define today's world. This blog is our opportunity to give you a daily, behind-the-scenes look at our photography as well as inspiring new projects. We want to immerse you in the visual side of the news and highlight photography that pushes boundaries in the art world. As part of our regular features, we'll include the backstory from photo shoots, firsthand accounts from photographers in the field, profiles of legendary image makers, photo essays and more.

I teamed up with designer Brian Lund Lauridsen to rebrand myself as a photographer. I wanted to generate advertising work and reach a new audience. I created an image library to target picture editors (www. jamessilverman.co.uk/imagelibrary) and a mobile site. The portfolio layout draws inspiration from the many lines in the pictures, through an angled grid.

I shot 99 portraits at Zuccotti Park as Occupy Wall Street was taking place. I stripped my subjects of context and concentrated on their personalities. These portraits are a fitting analogy for the "99 percent" in America.

To hail the spirit of resilience on the tenth anniversary of september 11, 2001, TIME revisited the people who led us, moved us and inspired us, from the morning of the attacks through the tumultuous decade that followed. These astonishing testimonies—from 40 men and women including George W. Bush, Tom Brokaw, General David Petraeus, Valerie Plame Wilson, Black Hawk helicopter pilot Tammy Duckworth and the heroic first responders of Ground Zero—define what it means to meet adversity, and then overcome it.

For this personal project, I wanted to document my peers on the cusp of major life changes. At age 28 i photographed 28 people my age, then I photographed 29 people at age 29 and 30 at age 30. I'll continue this same format, following this same group and documenting each year.
